One of the scene’s most-respected musicians and songwriters, Liam Fender, met with Louder Than War in Brown’s at The Exchange, a popular café/bar in North Shields town centre, to talk about the string of beautifully-crafted singles he has released over the last few months, culminating with a 6 track EP, Love Will…, which collates his last three singles along with three previously unreleased tracks. North Shields, the historic fishing port just north of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, is now firmly established as the centre of a burgeoning local music scene, with the likes of The Engine Room, Three Tanners Bank, and Salt Market Social (all located in the Fish Quay dock area) playing host to a diverse range of local talent. ![]() “If there’s one place you can hopefully find optimism it’s in music, you know, it’s the one constant it’s a certain, constant art form that expresses the turmoil of the day, but always offers some optimism and some hope.”
